Showplace Performance Centre is Peterborough’s premier performing arts facility.

We feature an innovative variety of live music, theatre, dance, comedy, tribute, festival, lecture and variety acts and events in our licensed, professional 647-seat theatre and our lower level lounge.

A not-for-profit registered charitable organization, Showplace serves its wider community by offering family friendly performances of popular and wide appeal that are characterized by high artistic and visual quality.

Showplace contracts at various rates with artists and performance organizations as well as community and corporate users. We also present a number of “Showplace Presents” events, some of which serve as our own fundraisers.  

The annual economic stimulus to the region of our activity has been calculated to be $3.65 million. (2009/2010) We are proud to feature Canadian artists, and equally proud to support the community of which we are a part through a variety of charitable contributions.
