KIM DOOLITTLE

Kim Doolittle and The All Star Blues Band w/Special Guests Rick Fines and Alan Black

Join Kim Doolittle in the Showplace Lounge in Peterborough for a stellar night of Original Music infused with some Timeless Classics from some of the Great Blues Divas!
Kim Doolittle has been called a cross between Lucinda Williams and Bonnie Raitt with the sass of Bette Midler.  She has lived a storied 40 year musician’s life that has taken her to 60% of the globe and produced 8 original CD’s.   She has a self-deprecating, acerbic wit and will have you laughing out loud and then in the next minute she will be either breaking your heart or shaking the walls with song.  As a performer she is a born storyteller who gives 200%, what you get is what you see and she sings only songs that resonate with her heart and a vast tableau of life experiences.

After taking a year off to rest after 6 years of extensive travelling and touring, she had a yen to do a blues gig,  Calling upon old band mates from her youth in Toronto she has assembled a top drawer line up to back her including Peterborough’s Premier Blues Artists Rick Fines and  Alan Black as special guests.  Rob Quail from the Jeff Healey Band is riffing on guitar, Stan Miczek from Sass Jordan and the Guess Who is keeping it low on the bass, Jerome Godboo, Canada’s Premier Hip Shaking Harp Player and Greg Anzelc from The Steve Fox Band complete the band.  They are going to cover not only her songs, but feature some of the Classic Female Blues Singers like Bonnie Raitt and Etta James to name a few.

To coin a Kim Doolittle phrase, “May All Your Blues Be The Musical Kind”, and this show is a must see for you die hard blues fans.
