PSO: Paris Bustle and Blues

Let the rhythms of Ravel and Gershwin carry you away to the jazzy streets of 1920’s Paris. French composer Ravel’s imaginative works influenced Gershwin’s own kaleidoscopes of sound at a time when the boundaries of art and music were being pushed. The orchestra performs Ravel’s Ma Mere L’oye and Bolero, Gershwin’s American in Paris, and inspired young Canadian pianist Anastasia Rizikov plays Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.
